We fell in love

I have found my future husband through this site, Military Singles! He had sent me a mingle mail telling me that he thought I was beautiful and that he would love to talk to me on the phone and gave me his phone number. I checked out his profile and I was amazed at what I saw! He is unbelievably handsome! So, I decided to mingle mail him back and told him what I thought about him. I told him he could call me anytime and gave him my phone number. He ended up calling me that night and we spent about 2 hours on the phone. And, each and every night we did the same until we met the following weekend. We fell in love and he asked me to marry him on February 2, 2004!

I have never been so happy, and that's the truth!

My husband, Tony, and I met through Military Singles Connection. Every time I did a search, he was at the top of the list. He had a picture posted with his daughter, which said a lot. I have 2 children of my own, and it was important for me to find someone who loves children. Seeing the picture of Tony with his daughter told me that he was a family man. A big plus!

We started "smiling" at each other. Not chatting yet, just a smile every other day or so. Then, we started to Mingle Mail. From there we went to IM's, and then to talking on the phone. It took us well over a month to meet in person. By that time, I had already fallen for him. Just by talking on the phone for hours on end, I got to know him well. Talking by phone before you meet is a great way to find out about the other person, and we talked a LOT!

We lived about 2 hours away from each other. We finally got to meet in September. By the time we met, there was no need for "small talk" or the awkwardness of a first date - we KNEW each other so well. We greeted each other with a long hug and a kiss, and it was wonderful - like being with someone you've known your whole life.

We met for several times a week after that. We still talked for hours on end on the phone because of our distance from each other. Every phone conversation showed me more of his heart. We talked about everything.

On October 25, 2003, we were married in a small ceremony with our children present. I think they were as excited as we were! I really feel that the fact we met online and not in person first helped us a great deal. We had the chance to talk so much before we actually met - we knew without a doubt that we were made for each other before even meeting face-to-face. We talked about so much - music, books, parenting issues, religion, church attendance, goals, dreams, previous marriages, you name it--all of this before we even met. So many times when you date someone you don't get to know the person, just the superficial stuff. By meeting online first, then talking on the phone, you have to get to know each other well - all you can do is talk! :-)

I want to close by saying this: THANK YOU! Both Tony and I have been single for years following our divorces, waiting for the right person. We never would have met without Military Singles Connection. We truly are soulmates that would have been forever apart without MSConnection. You guys are awesome! Keep up the great work! I would recommend you guys to ANYONE who is really looking for a relationship! I have never been so happy in my life, and that's the truth.

On Sept. 29, 2004, we welcomed our son, Ethan, into the world! This was 11 months after we married, and almost exactly one year (to the day) that we met! He is a joy to us! We call him our "Internet Baby." We owe it all to you guys.

Well, we have now been together now for going on 5 years now! Our "Internet Baby", Ethan, is 3 1/2 years old - how time flies!

I have met the man I truly, dearly, and deeply love.

I met a man under the name infantrypoet in September of 2007. Although a lot of issues, we have been together since then. I moved to be with him in Ft. Meade, MD, then broke it off with him and moved back home to Arkansas. He came to Arkansas soon afterward. I wasn't originally looking for a partner, only someone to write to my students as pen pals. However, if it weren't for this site, I'd never have met the man I truly, dearly, and deeply love. Thank you!

I was automatically attracted to him!

We met on here a few weeks ago. We had a 90% match. I was automatically attracted to him! He comes home in June, and I CANT WAIT!! We talk on the phone everyday and webcam each other as much as possible. I never thought I would meet someone on here, but its perfect!
