Often we seem to have a failure to communicate…or we have a failure to communicate in a way that another person understands. Either way, it's a problem. Every person on this planet has at one point in time made the assumption that other people see, understand, feel and think the same way that they do.
Too bad that assumption is wrong.
Every Color Code personality has a distinct way of interpreting information and passing it on (i.e., sensing and communicating). For example, if your core color is RED and you want the person you are dating to stop seeing other people, you would probably say something like, "I want you to stop seeing other people." If your core color is BLUE, you may say something along the lines of, "Well, you know, I was thinking that I like you, and you like me, so, I think that we should see more of each other, and you know, maybe less of other people. Unless that's not want you want, because I certainly don't want to force you to do something that you don't want. You know, when you feel forced then it gets weird… I'm sorry, I'm babbling. It's been a really long day and it all started on my way to work this morning…" The RED is thinking, "You're talking, but are you saying anything?" or "Get to the point already!"
The funny thing is that, often, we want the same things; it's just that we present these things to each other in a way that WE understand them, not in the way that the OTHER PERSON understands.
